Documentation

The integration surface, for the people who have to sign it off.

A technical overview for plant IT, security and integration teams. Detailed connector references and API access are shared with customers and pilot partners under NDA.

Architecture

Dropslab is three products on one data model. Core is the web platform where procedures, work orders, assets and users are modelled. Sense is the frontline app for tablet, phone and smart glasses, offline-first, which executes procedures and captures evidence. Sync is the integration layer that connects machines, ERP, MES, CMMS, IoT and remote-support systems through pre-built connectors and versioned pipelines.

Deployment models

Cloud / SaaS hosted by Dropslab on Hetzner in Germany (EU); on-premise inside your own environment with physical data separation; or edge, with processing on the shop floor. Per-customer AI models are delivered in standard formats such as PyTorch and remain your property.

Identity and access

Role-based access control is in place today. SSO (SAML) is available from the Operate tier; MFA and detailed audit logging are being rolled out as part of the ISO 27001 / SOC 2 programme. Entra ID is supported for enterprise tenants.

Data model and export

Every completion writes a structured event: task, step, asset, operator, timestamp, media, AI decision and confidence, SOP revision. Events are exportable as CSV / XLSX, pushed to BI tools from the Analyze tier, and written to your systems of record through Sync. There is no lock-in on the data.

Connectors

Dropslab Sync groups its connectors into four families. Each has its own page with the systems covered and how the integration runs.

  • Machine integrations

OPC UA servers on machine tools and lines · Modbus TCP/RTU devices and PLCs · MQTT brokers and edge gateways

  • ERP, MES and CMMS integrations

SAP S/4HANA, SAP PM and SAP QM · Microsoft Dynamics 365 · ProLeiT and Hydra MES

  • IoT and real-time data

Edge gateways and industrial IoT platforms (AWS IoT and others) · Vibration, temperature, pressure and runtime sensors · Condition thresholds and anomaly events

  • Remote support integrations

Live video and AR annotation sessions from Sense · Smart-glasses streaming (five supported models) · Ticket systems: ServiceMax, Salesforce Field Service, Dynamics 365
